Blur series
BLUR explores the fragile threshold between presence and disappearance.
Through partially erased gestures, unstable contours and suspended figures, the series creates portraits that seem to drift between memory, perception and dissolution.
Broad movements of oil paint interrupt and destabilize the image, not to conceal it, but to transform its emotional charge. Faces emerge only partially, suspended in states of hesitation where recognition remains uncertain.
The blurred areas evoke both painterly gesture and photographic motion, capturing fleeting moments that resist fixation and clarity.
Rather than offering fixed identities, BLUR presents figures in transition, vulnerable presences oscillating between intimacy, absence and projection.
Minimal backgrounds, chromatic tensions and fragmented surfaces reinforce this sensation of emotional suspension, inviting the viewer into an unstable perceptual space where the visible constantly slips away.
